NOIPTUN
News:
December 29, 2003:
Cool, we've been
slashdotted :) I also noticed a libnet bug that makes
running noiptun on unconfigured interfaces a bit of a hassle. You have to set
an IP on it for libnet to start, after that the IP can be removed. This isn't
noiptun's fault and it looks like others on the libnet mailing list are
complaining about it so hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

About:
Noiptun is a client-server based application that allows secure communication with
computers that do not have an IP address. It was started as an effort to port the control
functionality of Hogwash to the newest version
but grew into its own project since it doesn't need Hogwash to function.
The project is being developed and currently runs on Gentoo 1.4 and Redhat 9 Linux although
it should with a bit of work compile on any *nix with support for
tun devices,
libnet,
libpcap and
openssl.
Roadmap:
Add more crypto algorithms
Port to OpenBSD, Solaris, FreeBSD and Mac OSX
implement a lex/yacc parser
